Job Requirements
• Five year undergraduate degree in Architecture from a United States School of Architecture
• Professional Texas Architectural Registration
• Minimum 2 year experience as Architect
• Self-driven, professional, high-energy and receptive to learning on the job and growing into role. This position is ideal for a motivated person with a long term commitment to our firm seeking an opportunity for growth, responsibility, and partnership
• Construction Industry experience a huge plus
• Good communication skills, comprehension, willingness to learn
• Qualifications
o AutoCAD: 2 years (AutoCAD Architecture Preferred)
o Revit or Sketchup: 1 year (Preferred)
Job Responsibilities and Description
Architect capable of managing design services from preliminary meetings to project close-outs.
• Preliminary design including programming, code review, diagrams, schematics, layouts, multi-view, and various drawings to scale in accordance with clients’ requests
• Preliminary cost estimating
• Responsible for creating accurate CAD drawings from hand sketches, verbal instructions and site visits
• Mathematical, geometrical and minor engineering computation
• Detailed design drawings and related specifications
• File drawings, maintain standards data, and perform other routine drawing functions as required. Systematically saving sketches and drawings on company server; keeping the server organized; updating project folders and files as jobs progress and revisions are made
• Review and check drawings for errors before final set is issued.
